Celebrate Earth Day Every Day: Incorporate Natural and Organic Products in Your Home

We use natural ingredients and organic Maine Seaweed in our products. We believe it’s important both for your skin and the environment to use natural products.

  1. Quit using non-eco friendly laundry detergent. Make the switch to an eco-friendly brand or make your own laundry detergent to reduce harsh chemicals re-entering the water supply.  Some of our favs include: Seventh Generation laundry detergent and Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day natural laundry detergent. Or you could make your own concoction using household items like Dr. Bronner’s soap and baking soda. Apartment Therapy has a great DIY recipe. You can even add your own essential oils to create your own signature scent. Bonus: Making your own minimizes packaging consumption, and you’ll get more bang for your buck.
  2. Start using natural cleaning products or make your own! Many cleaning products have harsh chemicals that can be bad for the environment. Instead of using bleach to clean that ring around your tub, try using baking soda and lemon. To get rid of grime in your sink, scrub it with baking soda and wash with warm water. For clogged drains try sprinkling baking soda down the drain and pour some vinegar down it until you see the baking soda bubble up.
  3. Incorporate houseplants in your home or apartment. Not only will these plants make it feel more homey, but incorporating plants into your home can actually help detoxify the air in your home. This can lead to fewer headaches and less allergy symptoms!
