Results of a 15-year study conducted by Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School and Boston University found that women who drank even moderate amounts of beer increased their risk of psoriasis.
However, before you swear off of your favorite brew, it is important to note that Bruce Bebo, director of research and medical programs at the National Psoriasis Foundation, cautions that the findings “need more investigation to determine whether there’s a real connection or not.”
There is no question that limiting alcohol intake is beneficial to your overall health. Previous studies have also found a link between alcohol and psoriasis.
