The psoriasis volunteer leadership community is made up of many compassionate individuals who spend much of their time organizing support groups and events for psoriasis sufferers and their families, as well as raising awareness about the disease. Cristy Boisvert is a true leader in the psoriasis community and has spent countless hours helping psoriasis sufferers and promoting psoriasis awareness. As a result of her amazing efforts and accomplishments, Cristy was recently named the 2010 Volunteer of the Year by the National Psoriasis Foundation. We would like to congratulate Cristy on receiving this prestigious award.
Cristy is the head of the San Diego support group network and organizes the San Diego Walk to Cure Psoriasis. The San Diego Walk, which will be take place on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 8:00 AM at Mission Bay Park, is expected to draw between 400-500 people this year. The Seaweed Bath Co. was honored to be asked to be a part of the walk this year and has donated a basket to be raffled off at the walk.
