I have lots of hair that is frizzy/curly, though the strands themselves are not thick. I've been battling my hair all my life. At 54, I've considered cutting it short, but I've had short hair, and it doesn't look that great on me. I've done some of the safer smoothing treatments, which help, but no miracles -- I think you need the nasty stuff for really great results, and I just can't do it. Anyway, I've tried SO many smoothing shampoos, conditioners and finishing products and never really liked any of them, primarily b/c I could not even skip one wash without feeling greasy or dirty. The oils tend to give a good result, but require frequent washing, and the silicones tend to make hair just look and feel dirty. This smoothing shampoo and conditioner is fantastic! It leaves my hair much smoother than any regular shampoos/conditioners, but I find it still looks great after the first skipped wash, and I can even skip 2 washes, though it starts looking like it needs it those last hours. Anyway, I'm so happy to have found a shampoo and conditioner I can stick with to end my seemingly endless search! Not sure what the magic is, but it's this shampoo and matching conditioner is the best I've found for smoothing my unruly mop! PLEASE don't change for discontinue!
