Product Profile: Wildly Natural Seaweed Argan Conditioners

Just as our product line grows, so to do the types of blog posts we publish. What we intend to do in this particular post — and in future “product profile” posts here on the blog — is introduce you to the products we produce here at The Seaweed Bath Co.

First up is our Wildly Natural Seaweed Argan Conditioners, made of oils from the Argan tree, which grows only in Morocco. Because the Argan tree is endemic to that northern African nation, the oil produced from its kernels is among the rarest in the world.

In fact, a women’s cooperative that shares the profits among female members of the Berber tribe, produces all argan oil sold today. Years ago, these women used to grind and press the kernels by hand, but today the kernels are harvested and processed by machine, making the process more efficient and profitable for the women involved.

Argan oil is rich in vitamin E, phenols and phenolic acid, carotenes and squalene. As a result, it is sought throughout the world for its cosmetic properties as well as for nutrition and medicinal purposes.

Our Wildly Natural Seaweed Argan Conditioners came about as the result of nearly a half-year of research and development — including a number of variations before we fine-tuned this all-natural conditioner to meet our high standards. When paired with our Wildly Natural Seaweed Argan Shampoos, you have one of the best options available to restore moisture to dry, itchy, or damaged hair and scalp.

In addition to introducing argan oil to the mix, our new conditioner features our signaturebladderwrack seaweed extract, three types of Keratin (a wonderful hair strengthener) and coconut oil. It is available in our three distinct scents — Citrus, Eucalyptus & Peppermint, andLavender — as well as unscented, in 12-ounce 100 percent post-consumer recycled bottles.

We launched all four of these conditioning items in October of this year, making Wildly Natural Seaweed Argan Conditioners the newest product in our seaweed-based line.
